Cony quarterback Ben Lucas finished off his high school career with a state title and the Fitzpatrick award, today he announced that he'll play college ball at UMaine.On day one of the national signing period Lucas decided to stay in-state and play for coach Jack Cosgrove ad the Black Bears starting in the fall.

In this his senior season at Cony he threw for 3,482 yards and 42 touchdowns. He saved his best for last in the state championship game by driving the Rams 99 yards, ending with a game winning touchdown pass with one minute left. In January he was named the Fitzpatrick trophy winner which goes to the best senior player in the state.
