Cony’s Lucas Not At Camp [VIDEO]

The University of Maine football team completed their first practice of the season as camp opened on Monday at Alfond Stadium.One player not present at camp was incoming freshman Ben Lucas of Cony High School. Lucas who won the Fitzpatrick trophy after throwing for 3,357 yards and 41 touchdowns was going to be one of five quarterbacks on this years roster. When asked about his absence, Coach Jack Cosgrove said he only cared to comment on the players that were in camp.
The Bears will have six more practices before participating in their first inter-squad scrimmage on Monday.
