As the UMaine Black Bears prepare for their first CAA conference game this week, vs Rhode Island, the new national poll shows 20% of the top-25 are CAA teams.

Five CAA teams - Villanova, James Madison, Richmond, UNH and William & Mary are all ranked top-25. UNH took a big drop after losing to Stony Brook. The Wildcats feel from 13th to 24th.

Black Bear coach Jack Cosgrove says quarterback Dan Collins is fine after suffering a hand injury against Tulane Saturday night. Cosgrove said during his weekly CAA teleconference Monday morning that Collins was still his starter.

Maine will host URI at 3:30pm on Saturday. Both teams are looking for their first win.
