UMaine junior pitcher Justin Courtney pitched a complete game seven hitter in a 3-1 win over Manhatten College Friday afternoon at Mahaney Diamond in Orono. It was part of a doubleheader split for the Bears against the Jaspers.

Courtney allowed just one run while striking out seven and no walks. He picked up his third win of the year, throwing just 106 pitches.

Christopher Bec had three of Maine's seven hits. Tyler Schwanz had two RBI.

Manhatten came back to take game two 6-4, scoring three runs over the last two innings.

The Black Bears now at 10-17. The Jaspers are 8-22.

Another doubleheader set for Saturday afternoon.
