TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager will get to work a NBA Finals series for the first time in his career.

The 34-year broadcast veteran for Turner Broadcasting will share the sideline reporting duties for the sixth game of the NBA Finals with Doris Burke after an agreement was reached between Turner and ESPN.  ESPN is broadcasting the series and will also present Sager with the Jimmy V Perseverance Award at the 2016 ESPYS in July.

"I'd like to thank Turner and ESPN for approaching me with this tremendous opportunity to be part of The Finals broadcast team.   I look forward to being in the building for what will be an incredibly exciting Game 6. The NBA community is a very special one and this is a great honor,” said Sager via a written statement.

Sager has been receiving treatment for leukemia and returned to NBA TV coverage for TNT in March of last year after an 11 month sabbatical.
