Defending Maine Women's Amateur Champion Staci Creech has moved into first place of the tournament with a -6 overall after enduring the weather elements in the second round.

Creech shot a -2 under for the day at Penobscot Valley County Club, which puts her at a three stroke lead heading into the final day.  Bailey Plourde who was tied for the lead after Monday shot a +1 and is second with a -3 through two rounds.

The tournament was rolling along until a flash rain storm halted play for an hour.  Creech, Plourde, and Sarah Hansen were all putting on the back nine and completed their hole before the delay.

Creech finished her round with three birdies and a lone bogey on the Par 73 event on Tuesday.  She will wrap up the tournament with a 10:50 a.m. tee time this morning.
