The Boston Celtics decided to make no trades at the deadline on Thursday and then went out a shot 37% in Utah Friday night, losing 111-93.

C's coach Brad Stevens said it wasn't rust but rather the team just did not play well.

Derrick Favors led the Jazz with 23 and Gordon Hayward added 22.

Isaiah Thomas led the C's with 25.

NOTE: Before the game the Celtics announced that they had waived reserve center David Lee. Once he clears waivers he will be able to sign with any team. The C's tried to move is expiring contract at the tradeline but could not.
