One night after the Patriots season came to a halt the Bruins and Celtics did their part by winning road games. The B's in Philly, the C's in DC.

The Celtics blew out the Washington Wizards 116-91. Isaiah Thomas continues to make an allstar push, scoring 23 points and 9 assists while Wiz star John Wall was held to just 8 points.

Evan Turner scored 18 off the bench. Six C's players scored in double figures.

The Celtics are 25-21 and holding down fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

Meanwhile, the Boston Bruins got a Brett Connelley goal with 1:54 left in the game to beat the Flyers in Philadelphia 3-2.

The B's had a 2-0 lead on first period powerplay goals by Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. But the Flyers came back to tie the game 2-2.

Tuukka Rask made 34 saves in goal.

The Bruins are 26-17-5 and play at home tonight against Anaheim - the last game before the allstar break.
