Fans at Wrigley Field will get their wish today. The heralded prospect Kris Bryant has been called up by the Chicago Cubs and will bat cleanup in their game against the San Diego Padres.

Bryant is a power hitting third baseman and many baseball people thought he should have been in Chicago's opening day lineup. They chose to send him to Triple-A for more seasoning and will get another year of player control with free agency down the line.

Bryant was hitting .321 with 3 home runs for the Iowa Cubs Triple-A team.
