A wild and sometimes strange game five goes to the Chicago Cubs 9-8 over the Washington Nationals. It will be the Cubbies taking on the LA Dodgers for the National League title.

Leading 4-3 in the middle innings, the Nats brought in ace Max Scherzer but he promptly gave up four runs and the Cubs had the lead.

But Chicago pitching kept walking batters - eight of them among seven different relief pitchers.

In the end, the Cubs found a way to score just enough runs to win it. Addison Russell drove in four of the runs.
