The Messalonskee Eagles overcame a slow start before finding their offense in the third period and another state championship with a 7-2 win over Gorham.After falling behind 2-0 the Eagles cut the lead in half on the first of two goals by Jake Dexter. That seemed to be the spark they needed as they added six more in the third period to claim back-to-back class B state titles.

The top line of Dexter, Jared Cunningham and Brandon Nale provided all the scoring with Cunningham collecting a hat trick in the third period and Nale adding two of his own.

In the class A game Scarborough needed double overtime to capture their first state title in hockey with a 2-1 win over St. Dom's. With just :17 seconds remaining in the second overtime, the Red Storms Sean McGovern send a backhanded shot past Saints goalie Kyle Welch for the game winner.
