UAlbany came to Orono and spoiled UMaine football's homecoming day 20-7, taking advantage of two Black Bears turnovers and converting them into 10 points.

Maine falls to 2-5, 1-3 CAA. Albany is 5-2, 2-2 CAA.

UM freshman quarterback Drew Belcher, making his first collegiate start, helped put the Bears on the board first. Their second possession resulted in a TD on a pass from Belcher to Art Williams.

Maine would not score again.

The Great Danes defense stripped Belcher in the second quarter, linebacker Christian Dorsey rumbled 60 yards for the score.

A field goal put the Danes up 10-7.

Albany scored points on another field goal and touchdown in the second half to win it 20-7.

Belcher finished 13-for-30, 123 yards and a TD.

Omar Osbourne rush for 108 yards to lead Albany.

Maine had more total yards  - 292 to 212.
