After dropping their season opener 2-1 against the Baltimore Orioles, Red Sox Manager John Farrell discussed the missed chances experienced by the team at the plate.

Boston went 0-10 with runners in scoring position, leaving 12 men on base. The only run came from new centerfielder Grady Sizemore who went 2-4 on the day with a solo homerun in the top of the 4th inning.
The series will take a break on Tuesday while the Sox visit President Obama at the White House in recognition of their World Series win last season. When teams take the field on Wednesday it will be John Lackey facing Ubaldo Jiminez.
