Dexter Repeats As LEC Player Of The Year
USM senior Sam Dexter is Little East Conference Player of the Year for the second straight year. He becomes the first player to win the award outright back-to-back in the 20 year history of the LEC.
Dexter(Messalonskee HS) batted .404 with 44 RBI and 19 stolen bases. He led the LEC in runs scored, hits and total bases.
Dexter and four other Huskies were named all-conference.
The USM season and Dexter's college career ended Sunday night when the NCAA passed on giving the Huskies an at-large bid to the playoffs.
