Dill, Steelman Sign Nat’l Letters of Intent
Two more Orono High School student athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play Division I sports - Kassidy Dill and Hannah Steelman.
Both have been major parts of the Red Riots multi-year state championships in Class C track.
Earlier in the year, Orono's Jake Koffman signed a NLI with Stanford to compete for their track and field program. Jackson Coutts signed with the University of Rhode Island to play baseball.
Dill signed her letter of intent to run for the University of North Carolina - Greensboro. She won the state Class C individual cross country title back in the fall. She expects to run middle distance event at UNCG.
Steelman signed her NLI with Wofford College in South Carolina. Brewer's record breaking shot put champion Austin Lufkin signed with Wofford earlier in the school year.
Both UNCG and Wofford compete in the Southern Conference (SoCon).
Steelman's father, Todd, is the women's basketball coach at Presbyterian College in South Carolina. He had been assistant basketball coach at UMaine.
