DISH Network And WABI TV Reach Agreement

According to a press release from the DISH network and information obtained from WABI TV's website an agreement has been reached between the two companies!

Mike Young, General Manager of WABI TV said earlier today, "We are pleased announce that WABI-TV5 and The CW are returning to the DISH line-up. Each station will continue to be available to all communities served under the prior agreement, and those who receive The CW will soon enjoy the added enhancement of high definition delivery of the station’s programming.”

This was said within the DISH Network press release, "DISH Network L.L.C., a wholly owned subsidiary of DISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH), has reached a multi-year agreement with WABI-TV for carriage of WABI-TV 5 (CBS) and WABI DT2 (CW) in Bangor, Maine. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed."

According to the WABI TV website, "DISH representatives have advised WABI that the stations’ signals are expected to return to the system later today."

“We want to thank our viewers, our advertisers, and our community partners for their patience and understanding as we worked through the process of negotiation,” Young concluded.

Bangor's WABI and The CW have not been available on the DISH Network television lineup since the second week of July.
