Dugas Family Sweeps NAC Golf Awards

The Dugas golfing family has cleaned up on North Atlantic Conference postseason awards. Gavin has been named Golfer of the Year, his younger brother Eric is NAC Rookie of the Year and their father, Mike, is NAC Coach of the Year.

The Husson Eagles captured the NAC Team Championship Monday for the third straight year. The Eagles earn the right to play in the NCAA Division III National Tournament next spring.

Gavin, a junior at Husson, was medalist at the conference tournament. He was named Player of the Week three times.

Eric, a freshman at Husson, had the third best score at the conference tourney and won Rookie of the Week five times this fall.

Mike, the Husson coach, wins the top coach award for the second time in his four years at the helm of the Husson golf program. During regular season play, the Eagles won four tournaments. Five players on the team earned first team all-conference honors...
