Many of Maine's top high school golfers competed today at the New England Interscholastic Golf Championship at Bretwood Golf Course in Keene, New Hampshire.

 

New Hampshire golfer Ryan Quinn shot a 66 to win the title.

The top Maine golfer was Anthony Burnham from Scarborough HS. He fired a 74, tied for 12th place.

Logan Thompson from Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln shot a 78. Eric Dugas and Carter Pearl from MCI shot 81s. Cole Daniel from Old Town HS shot an 82.

In total, 56 high school golfers from around New England played for the regional title.

Bailey Plourde (LIncoln Academy), the 2016 Maine Schoolgirl champion fired a 79, good for 14th place.

Rachel Smith from Greely HS shot a 78 for the best score among 11 schoolgirl players from Maine.
