Eagles And Bears Win Weekly Honors

Husson University's Trevon Butler is NAC player of the week, Chandler Guerette is NAC rookie of the week and UMaine's Devin Shore is Hockey East player of the week.

Shore, a sophomore for UMaine hockey, scored a goal and five assists in the weekend sweep of AIC. It's the second time he's been named HE player of the week. Shore leads Maine in points with 19.

Husson Eagles basketball forward Trevon Butler started both games in Vermont over the weekend and averaged 19 PPG and 7.5 RPG. He hit the winning shot on Saturday at Castleton with .6 seconds to go.

Husson freshman Chandler Guerette is the NAC rookie of the week. She averaged 13.5 PPG in a weekend split of two games in Vermont.

UMaine hockey and the Husson basketball teams are all off until the after Christmas.
