The Husson baseball team split a doubleheader with UMaine Farmington in the  North Atlantic Conference opening day of play.

The Beavers took the first game in come-from-behind fashion 8-5. The Eagles took game two 5-1.

The Eagles are 1-1 NAC and 3-8 overall. UMF is 1-1 and 4-6.

Game 1:  UMF 8  Husson 5  The Beavers trailed 5-4 going into the 7th inning and then scored four times. The big blow was a 3-run home run from Kevin Carter. He had five RBI in the game. Nate Pushard got the win on the hill for UMF. The Eagles managed just six hits.

Game 2:  Husson 5  UMF 1  Cody Collins pitched a complete game four-hitter, allowing just one run, striking out five and walking two as the Eagles earned the split. Luke Covey led the offense with three hits and three RBI.
