The Husson University football team beat defending conference champ Gallaudet 12-6 and in the process moved into first place with a 3-0 ECFC record.Husson scored two first half touchdowns which was more than enough for their defense that entered the day ranked 25th in the nation. The Eagles only allowed Gallaudet155 yards of total offense with Stephan Dance leading the charge with a team high 6 tackles.

Freshman John Smith finished the day with 123 yards rushing and a touchdown, his 5th of the season. Quarterback Joe Seccareccia completed 11 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown strike to Ryan Stroud.

Husson improves to 4-1 overall which matches the best start in the programs 12 years of play. Their win combined with a Castleton loss puts the Eagles in first place in the conference. Next week Husson will play at Castleton.
