Castleton did it to Husson again. A come-from-behind win over the Eagles, 6-5, and this one meant a third straight NAC championship for the Spartans.

Husson had jumped out to an early lead and led 4-1 in the fifth inning but the Spartans changed everything with a five run sixth inning.

The Eagles came back with one run in the eighth and looked like they might tie the game until a web gem play by the Spartan shortstop ended the inning.

Julian Boone had three hits for Husson. Zach Sugar and Christan Corneil had two hits each. The Eagles outhit the Spartans 11-7.

But the Eagles could never beat Castleton, losing four times in the regular season, losing 7-5 in 12 innings earlier in the tourney and then losing by one run in the title game.

The Eagles finish 23-21.

Castleton at 32-10 awaits its NCAA bid.
