The Husson Eagles crushed Mt. Ida College 54-20 in the regular season finale, leaving little doubt who is the best team in the ECFC this year.

The win gives coach Gabby Price and his Eagles an undefeated conference season (7-0). The win streak reaches nine straight games and overall record for the regular season 10-1.

The ECFC title is the second in the last three years.

The NCAA Selection Show is Sunday evening. That's when the Eagles will find out who and where they will play in the playoffs next week.

In the finale in Newton, Massachusetts Saturday afternoon, Husson sophomore QB Corey Brandon threw five touchdown passes - two to DJ Allen, one each to Deon Wiggins, Kyle Gaudet and Tyler Bassett.

Junior running back John Smith rushed for 90 yards and two TDs on 19 carries.

The score was 41-7 at the half.

Husson's top ranked defense continues to be impressive. The Eagle held the Mustangs to -25 yards on the ground and a total of 90 yards. The defense picked off three passes and held Mt. Ida to just two first downs.
