The Husson Eagles women's soccer team is picked as the team to beat in the North Atlantic Conference. Two other Maine schools, Maine Maritime Academy and UMaine Farmington, are picked right behind the Eagles.

Coach Amanda Cummings led her to team to a 6-2-1 NAC record (9-7-1 overall) last season. The Eagles lost 1-0 in double overtime to Castleton State in the NAC title game.

The conference has a different look this year. Gone are Castleton State, Colby-Sawyer, New England University and Green Mountain State. In the NAC for the first time are UMaine Presque and SUNY-Canton.

Husson begins the season with four non-conference games, beginning Sunday vs St. Joseph's College. The NAC opener is September 15th vs SUNY-Canton.
