There is little disagreement that the New England Patriots drafted a talented defensive end in Dominique Easley, the question many are asking is why they would take a chance on a player with a history of knee injuries.Despite talk of the Patriots trading their #29 pick, they instead made the Florida Gator their first selection, Easley only played three games in his senior season after tearing his ACL. Bill Belichick had never been afraid to draft players in this situation as both Rob Gronkowski and Chandler Jones both missed most of their final years in college.

The second and third rounds will take place today, the Pats have the 30th pick in round two, and the 29th pick in the third round.
