Bangor Faces Off Against Top-Seeded Lewiston in Class A Clash

In the Class A contest, Lewiston took a 4-0 lead in the first period. Although the Rams managed to score in the second, Bangor couldn't seem to gain momentum, and the Blue Devils skated to a 5-1 win.

In their two previous regular season meetings, the Blue Devils swept the Rams,  5-2 and 2-0.

Bangor made it to the regional finals in a 3-2 double-overtime win over St. Dominic Academy. Meanwhile, Lewiston cruised to the finals while routing Brunswick 10-0.

The Blue Devils will face western Maine champs Falmouth, who defeated Scarborough 4-3 on Tuesday.

John Bapst Takes on Defending East Champs in Orono in Class B

Later Tuesday at the Alfond, John Bapst (14-5-1) faced a tough Messalonskee (17-2-0) team.

The  two teams split their regular season contests, with Messalonskee taking the season opener 1-0 and John Bapst capturing a 5-4 overtime win in January.

It was the Eagles who caught the fire Tuesday night, taking the tie breaker with Bapst with an impressive 7-2 win.

The Eagles will face either Camden or Greely. Those teams will play at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Colisee.
