Will Middlebrooks returned to the Red Sox line-up and paid instant dividends helping the Sox beat Kansas City 5-2.Middlebrooks had 2 hits including a 2-run single in the 4th inning that helped Boston open up a 4-0 lead. Jacoby Ellsbury had a big game at the plate and in the field. He finished with 4 hits and 2 rbi and some nice catches in the field.
Felix Doubront stuggled through 4 innings and got a no decision. Brandon Workman got the win in relief while Koji Uehara closed out the game for his 12th save.
