The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team traveled to Hermon on Tuesday, January 6th and came away with a 42-27 victory to improve to 6-3 on the season, as the girls have now played half of their 18 game season.

Hermon led 6-4 at the end of the 1st Quarter, but once Ellsworth took the lead at the half 19-12 they never looked back. The Eagles led 34-21 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Hailee Langley with 12 points. Emily Berry had 10 points and Caitlin Bean and Maddie Card each had 9 points. Ellsworth was 6-13 from the free throw line. Bean and Card each had a 3-pointer for Ellsworth.

Hermon was led by Amber Chasse with 10 points. Hermon was 6-14 from the free throw line. Alex Allaim had a 3-pointer for the Hawks.

The Eagles, now 6-3 play at Calais on Thursday, January 8th at 6:30PM in a game that will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio. Calais is 7-1 on the season, with their lone loss coming at the hands of the Ellsworth Eagles in Ellsworth 56-29 on December 15th.

Hermon now 3-6 plays at Old Town on Thursday, January 8th at 7 PM.
