The Ellsworth Lady Eagles Soccer team played their first exhibition game of the season, defeating Medomak Valley by the score of 5-1!

Sophomore Maddie Card netted the first goal of the 2013 season for the Eagles off of o her left foot! Shortly after Ellsworth had taken a 1-0 lead, freshman Lauen Hale scored off a corner kick taken by Katey Curtis!  Emily Berry bullet ended the scoring for the Eagles in the first half, and the score was 3-1 for the Lady Eagles.

In the second half, Ellsworth picked up where they left off, scoring two more goals, one by Emily Berry, her second of the game and the other by Katey Curtis . The final score was 5-1 Ellsworth!

Freshman Calli Hammer had 10 saves in  goal for Ellsworth.

Ellsworth's regular season begins Saturday September 7th, when they travel up to Presque Isle to play the Presque Isle Wildcats at 1 PM.
