The baseball world is mourning the death of 'Mr.Cub' Ernie Banks. He died Friday night at the age of 83.

For 19 years Ernie Banks was the face of the Chicago Cubs.

512 home runs. 14 All Star game appearances. A 2-time National League MVP. One of the game's great guys with his famous line "It's a great day for baseball...let's play two".

Banks retired in 1971 and elected to the Hall of Fame in 1977.

The cause of death has not been reported.
