There were so many players and coaches in the media room when DE Rob Ninkovich held is retirement press conference Sunday afternoon, they ran out of chairs and head coach Bill Belichick and defensive coordinator Matt Patricia sat on the floor.

Over 30 players were there to show respect for one of the great Patriots team players.

Ninkovich has not be at training camp and the word around Foxboro was that he was considering retirement at age 33.

Ninkovich came to the Patriots as a free agent in 2009. He played in 123 regular season games and 17 playoffs. He was a part of two  Super Bowl championships.
