Falcons Take Down Bangor 10-3

The Brewer Falcons captured the Zone 1 American Legion baseball title Thursday evening, thanks in big part to a 6-run sixth inning and defeated Bangor 10-3.

The Falcons (16-8) spotted the Comrades three runs and then chipped away to make it a 3-2 game going into the sixth inning. In that sixth, Brewer scored 6 times, all with two outs.

Chase Allen had four hits, Nick Moore knocked in four runs.

On the hill, Carter DeRedin, Brendan Moore and Kyle Alexander combined to hold Bangor (22-3) in check.

As Zone 1 champ, Brewer will play in the state tournament next Wednesday. Bangor must in a play-in game Saturday against Gorham in order to qualify for the states.
