Another game, another bad start from a Red Sox pitcher. This time it was Rick Porcello who allowed multiple runs early in the game as Boston falls to Chicago 9-2.Porcello lasted just 2 innings for the Sox and it was not pretty as he allowed 6 runs on 10 hits during his time on the mound and drops to 5-11 on the season. Boston has fallen behind in each of the first three games of this 4-game set and found themselves in a 6-0 hole after the first 3 innings.

Adam Eaton had 3 hits including his second home run of the series and drove in 2 runs. Melky Cabrera and Carlos Sanchez each added 3 hits to help the White Sox 17 hit performance.

Mike Napoli had 2 hits and drove in 2 runs to pace the Red Sox who have the worst record in the American League at 44-58.

Steven Wright is scheduled to take the mound in the series finale as Boston tries to avoid a 4-game sweep.
