Red Sox manager John Farrell is one of three finalists for AL Manager of the Year award. His competition is Cleveland's Terry Francona and Oakland's Bob Melvin.

While you might expect Farrell to win because the Sox won the world series, that is not a given. The voting is for regular season play only.

Farrell did lead the Sox to the best record in the American League. Francona led the Indians to a surprise finish that put the Tribe in a play-in game for the wildcard spot. And Melvin's A's won the west division.

The winner is announced next Tuesday, November 12th.
