UMaine kicker Kenny Doak booted a 52-yard field goal as time expired to give the Black Bears a 13-10 win over the Villanova Wildcats Saturday evening at Alfond Stadium in Orono.

The victory moves Maine to 2-0 in the CAA and 3-2 overall.

The game did not have a great deal of offense and one big reason is both teams had to use backup quarterbacks because of shoulder injuries to Maine's Chris Ferguson and Villanova's Zach Bednarcyzk.

The two teams swapped field goals in the first half for a 3-3 halftime score.

In the second half, both teams swapped 2-yard TD runs. Joe Fitzpatrick had the score for the Black Bears.

And then the final possession in a 10-10 game.

The Black Bears had 1:39 and drove 48 yards to give Doak the chance to win it. And, he did.

The Bears travel to (2-0, 4-1) Rhode Island  next week.
