First Ever NEWMAC Football Poll

The first ever NEWMAC football preseason coaches poll is out and the lone Maine school isn't getting much attention.

The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference is offering football for the first time this fall. Several schools, like Maine Maritime Academy, come from the old New England Football Conference.

The NEWMAC coaches think Springfield is the team to beat. MMA is  picked to finish in last place. The Mariners are coming off a 1-8 season.

Conference play begins on September 23rd. Maine Maritime plays its season opener at Maritime (NY) on Saturday.
