The Boston Red Sox had their six game win streak snapped as they fell to the Texas Rangers last night by a score of 8-2.

Doug Fister struggled for the Sox, as he lasted just 3.2 IP with five runs allowed on five hits and three walks.  The lone bright spot for the Sox was Xander Bogaerts hitting a two-run homer for one of Boston's three hits on the night.

The Sox maintain their position in the AL East standings after the Yankees lost to the Blue Jays again by a score of 7-6 during the afternoon.  Boston will next head to Tampa Bay to face the Rays with a four game lead in the division.  Chris Sale gets the start for the Red Sox against Jacob Faria.
