Shootouts have not been kind to the Boston Bruins this season and Thursday was no exception as Calgary beat Boston in the 8th round 4-3 to complete a season sweep.Boston had its two game win streak snapped but still hold the final playoff spot with a record of 31-22-10.

The Bruins tied the game on a goal by Loui Eriksson with just over eight minutes to play to tie the game at three. With no scoring in overtime a shootout was needed which has been the downfall of the team this season. Counting Thursday loss the Bruins have dropped seven straight shootouts. David Schlemko who was claimed off waivers by the Flames on Sunday scored the game winner.

Boston's four game home stand continues Saturday with an afternoon match-up against the Flyers.
