Bucksport, Ellsworth, Washington Academy and Camden Hills got together in a four-team controlled scrimmage day over the weekend.

The Bucks, Eagles and Raiders play in LTC Class D North. The Windjammers work to bring their program back and play in the new Class E.

Bucksport is coming off back-to-back appearances in the regional championship game. Longtime coach Joel Sankey must replace All-LTC quarterback Chase Carmiichael. He feels several younger players got valuable time a year ago. The Bucks host Houlton in their opener Friday, August 31st.

Ellsworth went 4-4 and lost in the quarterfinals a year ago. Coach Duane Crawford and his Eagles open the regular season hosting Dexter on Friday, August 31st.

Washington Academy finished 4-4 last season but missed the LTC playoffs. Barry Terrill is the only head coach the program has had as W.A. football is about 10 years old.

The Raiders host Stearns in the regular season opener on August 31st.

Camden Hills is trying to rebuild its program. The Windjammers will be part of the new nine-team Class E for programs struggling for numbers. Coach Jeremy Marks will take his team to Sacopee Valley HS for the season opener.
