When the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Florida Panthers Saturday night, former UMaine Black Bear Ben Bishop put his name in their record books.It was the 38th win of the season for Bishop which is his career best, and also a franchise record. Tampa Bay has had 43 goalies put on a Lightning jersey in their 23 year history but none have posted 38 wins in a single season.

The win over the Panthers was also his fourth shutout of the season. He and the Bolts are the number three team in the Eastern Conference standings as they enter the final week of the regular season. Bishop has a 2.32 goals against average and a save percentage of .916 this year.
