Former Black Bear Nonis Talks Kessel, B’s [VIDEO]

A day before the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs begin their NHL playoff series, former UMaine player and now Leafs GM Dave Nonis finds himself answering Phil Kessel questions – like why Kessel would not take reporter questions. Remember, Kessel was traded by the Bruins to Toronto in exchange for draft picks that turned out to be Tyler Seguin and Dougie Hamilton. Kessel has had little success against the B’s since that trade.

Dave Nonis is a former captain of the UMaine Black Bears back in the mid-1980′s. He took over as Toronto GM just days before this lockout-shortened season began after Brian Burke was fired.
