Former UMaine tight end Justin Perillo had his best day in the NFL on Sunday. His Green Bay Packers lost to the Detroit Lions 18-16 but he caught five passes from Aaron Rodgers, including one for a touchdown.

Perillo caught an 11-yard TD with just 32-seconds left in the game. His five catches were good for a total of 58-yards.

The former Black Bear suffered a concussion in that preseason game vs the Patriots. He was signed to the Packers practice squad and was activated one month ago.

Perillo has a total of seven receptions for 85-yards this season.

Perillo caught 128 passes, 15 for TDs in a UMaine uniform.

NOTE: Another former UMaine tight end, Matt Mulligan continues to play a lot of snaps for the Buffalo Bills. He has played in all 9 games and is primarily a blocking tight end. Mulligan does have one catch.

Mulligan and the Bills play the New England Patriots next Monday night.
