Former BlackBear Howard Gets Olympic Tryout
Former University of Maine and current Detroit Red Wing Goalie Jimmy Howard has been invited to tryout for the 2014 Olympic team.Howard is one of six goalies trying to earn a spot on the roster. In total, 48 players will be at the orientation camp August 27 & 27 in Virginia. The NHL will shut down for 2 1/2 weeks this year for players to take part in the Olympics. Below is the list of players who have received tryout invitations.
