Nine years with the New England Patriots and two years with the Tampa Bay Bucs is enough for offensive guard Logan Mankins - retiring after 11 years in the NFL.

The NFL Network first reported than Mankins was calling it quits.

He was a first round pick by the Patriots in 2005. He made the Pro Bowl six times with the Pats.

Just before the start of the 2014 season, Mankins was traded to Tampa Bay. His last game turns out to be the February Pro Bowl game as a Bucaneers allstar.

Mankins never did win a Super Bowl with the Patriots. He came in after the 2004 season and was traded to Tampa Bay before the 2014 season.
