Former Sox Tito, Roberts Win Manager Of Year Awards
Terry Francona and Dave Roberts will always be connected in Boston Red Sox lore for their part in the 2004 World Series championship. Now they are connected again - both win the Manager of the Year Award.
Francona led the Cleveland Indians to 94 wins and a trip to the World Series against the Cubs. He got more than twice as many votes than Texas manager Jeff Banister.
Roberts, in his first year as LA Dodgers manager led an injury riddled team to postseason. He beat out Cubs skipper Joe Maddon for the award....
