Former UM Goalie Back With Blackhawks
Former UMaine goalie Scott Darling is back up in the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks.That's three former Black Bear netminders in the bigs. (Jimmy Howard/Detroit, Ben Bishop/Tampa Bay)
Darling got the call up from Chicago AHL team because starting goalie Corey Crawford is injured again. Crawford could be out 2 to 3 weeks.
Antti Rannta got the start in the Blackhawks game against St. Louis last night, a 4-1 Hawks win.
Darling played in three for Chicago earlier in the season, going 2-1 with a 1.98 GAA.
Darling played at UMaine from 2008 to 2010, playing in 54 games over two seasons.
