Former UM Goalie Howard Returns From Sochi

Former UMaine goalie Jimmy Howard returns from the Sochi Olympics to re-join the Detroit Red Wings. He was the third goalie on Team USA and did not get into any game action.

Howard will likely be in net Wednesday night when the Wings resume their NHL at Montreal.

Detroit is 26-20-12 and will not have captain Henrik Zetterberg for the remainder of the season because of back surgery.

Howard has had injury issues of his own, twice injuring his knee before the Olympics.
