Former UMaine Coach G Has LaSalle Rolling [VIDEO]

John Giannini left UMaine nine years ago to coach at LaSalle University of Philadelphia in the Atlantic 10. This week he is Giannini the giant killer.

Giannini's Explorers knocked off two nationally ranked teams.

First LaSalle defeated No. 9 Butler and three nights later Giannini's team knocked off No. 19 VCU. The feat set school basketball history.

The Explorers are now 14-5 overall and 4-2 in conference play.

Giannini coach the Maine Black Bears to a 125-111 record in his time in Orono.
