Former UMaine Coach Giannini Makes NCAA Tourney

Former University of Maine and current LaSalle basketball coach John Giannini has made the NCAA tournament with his 21-9 Explorers.LaSalle lost to Butler in the A-10 quarterfinals but received an at-large bid thanks to their record and strength of schedule.

The Explorers will need to win a first round game on Wednesday against Boise State to advance as the #13 seed. You can hear the game live on 92.9 The Ticket following the Long Island vs. James Madison game.

Giannini was head coach at UMaine for eight years posting a record of 125-111 including two 20 win seasons.
