A balanced Fort Fairfield team ended the Schenck Wolverine's hopes of another upset Friday afternoon. In doing so, the Tigers earned themselves a spot in the Class C regional championship game on Saturday.

The Tigers (19-1) delivered a balanced offensive attack and controlled the boards on their way to a 60-50 win over the No. 6 Wolverines.

Fort Fairfield senior Christopher Giberson finished with 13 points before fouling out of the game with 1:16 left. Junior Isaac Cyr had 12 points, and senior point guard Ryan Player had 10 points.

Senior Justin Thompson led Schenck of East Millinocket (15-6) with 32 points. Christopher King had 10 points.

The Tigers last appeared in the regional championship in 2015, when they won the the Class D North title.
